Final Models & Thoughts?
Overall , this project was an enjoyment to work on. Due to the theme relating to tabletop , I wasnt sure that I was going to be able to enjoy the theme and designs that I was going to be able to make but with the many variations of factions I was able to find the two I would end up creating final designs and enjoying the most.
When it came down to creating the character portion of my project , I enjoyed having the Nameless and Plague factions as there was a nice set of freedom to work with when it comes down to character design and working with creatures whilst was something that I was not doing often in my personal work , it was something that was really enjoyable during the character phase and being able to work on the final pieces in 3D was such a relief as that's the source of media that I can focus with the most whilst designing.
What went well during the project
For this project , I believe that I was able to work more effectively once given a brief from an actual company and work on assets based on their briefs and given the mentality of if we give u feedback u must change it with no second questions which made the assets of this final project more enjoyable to work with. Whilst the main issue I would believe to have struggled with the most consisting of time management when it came down to working throughout the project and spacing the workload and not leaving everything to the final week and panicking , I managed to slow myself down from leaving everything and spacing each part week by week to make my life less stressful for when the final submission would come around.
Improvement
When it comes down to what I want to improve next time when it comes down to the aspects of this project is 100% the rigging of my Termis character. For my Termis rig , whilst it is still able to function similar to how I wanted the creature to act due to my inexperience still when it comes to rigging especially since the only other rig I have created is consisting of a human and not any other creatures and still trying to figure out the rigging mechanics for the human took more time as well however the rig is still working which is one point I wanted to be proud of with the Termis rig still showcasing the leg movements and how the claw functions even though the lower claw moves which is supposed too , I was hoping the top claw would be able to move more which is something I want to work on over the break.
In general , real worlds was an amazing experience to work on with working alongside a real games industry company Mantic Games and enjoyed how the results ended in the final product staying along the theme of the whole deadzones mechanics and theme.
