Photoshop Perspective Grids
During this weeks class , we took the same skills of looking into different perspective grids from last weeks session and placing them into a digital software which in our case was photoshop by using the tools inside of photoshop to create the different point grids efficiently.
2 Point & 3 Point Perspective Grids
The start of the lesson we discussed creating a set of 2 point and 3 point perspective grids inside the photoshop program.
The technique to create this process is really simple to do with the photoshop tools as u start off by creating a normal canvas and creating a larger area surrounding the beginning canvas which is considered to be from the screenshots the pink areas which would be where the vanishing points are set. Create a line across the canvas wherever you would like the line to be as that would be your horizon line , along the horizon line u create 2 separate points either side by using tools that are built in the photoshop program and alter these points allowing different amount of lines to be created from the centre and repeat this process for both sides and alter the colour for one of the points to make it easier to see along your canvas and that's the creation of a 2 point perspective.
To turn this 2 point perspective into a 3 point perspective grid , all you have to do is add and additional vanishing either below or above your canvas to create the 3 point perspective depending on what type of angle u are going for in the final piece you are creating with the support of these grids.
Examples of the Grids in Usage
Here are screenshots of two different objects being created inside of these 3 point perspective grids which was a pair of glasses provided by a classmate and a book used to showcase the angles and support these grids are able to provide when drawing in a perspective.
After working with the perspective grids , we finalised the lesson by practicing objects which are an equidistance from each other by utilising perspective grids. Whilst we spoke about this during our previous lesson by looking at this u are able to create items like fences or light posts within this perspective.
