Hand Studies
During this weeks , we were practicing hands and how to construct the hands themselves , after the lesson we were given the task of drawing a set of 50 different hand poses during the rest of the year. In my opinion , this task was such a good learning experience since for me I struggle to plan out how the hands would be layed in my personal artwork.
When it came to drawing the set of 50, I mostly took images from Pinterest and using references of my own hands to create the hands and making the compile.
For the first couple sets of hand poses , I just went with more simplistic poses which showcased the fingers in more dynamic poses that made the finger be posed in different ways with no time limit so I could attempt to take the process of the fingers at my own pace then worked towards showing the hands into a closed fist and holding a smaller object.
The final selection of Hands out of the 50 were made with references of the hands holding an item in-between a set of fingers which was a way to try and set the idea of an item balancing in-between fingers to alter the scale of the item in the hand or the fingers itself.
