 Moodboards



Craftable Weapon Moodboards



Information on Moodboard : Looking into sets of craftable weapons , I started off with Grounded with how simplistic the crafted weapon designs seems with the enemies drops as they are mostly combined by only a few basic materials whether its just pieces of rope or it has been bashed into the material and its just been slotted in.





Information on Moodboard : When looking into craftable weapons besides looking into Grounded , I looked into the Monster Hunter Series to see how the series incorporates the enemies pieces into the weapons and its utilised such as how some weapons would utilise the scales of different dragons to form blades or shields that would be more effective against a certain type of enemies or use the bones of an enemy to create harsher attack power.

Enemies Moodboards



Information on Moodboard : Whilst looking into different enemy ideas , a section of the enemies proportions was the scale and size of the enemies once they are infected with microplastics and evolved over the 50 year span to when our character arrives and a game I decided that fit this theme was the game Grounded as the characters are scaled down to the size of bugs that we around in the real world from our perspective however the enemies being the wildlife are 100x bigger than the character and the player has to maneuver around the enemies to eventually killing them.



Information on Moodboard : Whilst looking at enemy design , to start looking at exaggerated proportions I looked into the Resident Evil Series and how they exaggerate the proportions of the enemies with their infections and how twisted and corrupted the proportions get with body and how after the enemies bodies are infected , different features are altered such as some enemies getting stronger arms or additions features such as mechanical machinery or little scythes permanently attached to their bodies or have their bodies permanently morphed into gruesome creatures with twisted proportions.


Environment Moodboard's



Information on Moodboard : Whilst looking at these environments , I was looking towards the broken down environments and how they would work towards our games setting as ours was relating towards an abandoned city and the main setting being placed inside of a broken and destroyed zoo as I looked at how rubble would be scattered around the areas and how the dirt environments would change with different lighting and fog and how it would change how different creatures would interact with the environment.

Information on Moodboard : Whilst looking at this set of environments , I was taking into consideration of the setting of abandonment and how the setting of a level could change due to lighting and the different assets as an infected enemy hides around different areas with how the environment is as looking at a setting of brightly coloured trees and bushes with bright lighting would be considered quite differently compared to a level that consists of a low fog , broken trees and dead bushes would suit a better setting for certain genres of games.
