Visual Novel Research

With this being the first blog during this new project , We looked into 3 different games on a site called itch.io looking at different visual novel style games which would later be where we would upload our final game for this project by the end of the year.

When I Played this game it was shown to be made with a scratchy art style to showcase the creepiness of the creatures design and the creature would slowly would be built up on the different options you would end up choosing

Do Not Take This Cat Home

Don't take this cat home was interesting as it follows sort of along the lines of games like Doki Doki as it seems perfectly fun at first but after certain events and options the game slowly twists and breaks with disturbing options like the 2nd image shown here.

Adventures with Anxiety

Adventures with Anxiety was quite simplistic in its design but has added the option of having anxiety itself be a creature that follows the player and the way the game works is having anxiety try and protect the human but it never works and it ends up lowering the bar of the player until that scenario is finished.
